Hitting the Case lot sales!

Over the past couple of days I have hit the major grocery stores to take advantage of the fabulous case lot sales going on! It sucks that this week, of all weeks, was when we decided to really start sticking strictly to the budget!
I did the best I could and then used a little bit of my Mary Kay money to get a few more things that I just couldn't pass up.
I got the majority of my food at Smith's in Orem. I prefer the Smith's in Provo, as they are usually better stocked, but I was in Orem and didn't want to have drive through Provo.
I got 3 cases of Ramen Noodles @ $2.40 per case which is just .10 per package!
The Kroger ice cream was 3/$5, a super great deal!
I was thrilled to find a surprise in the canned Pineapple that was .97 each. The lowest advertised price I had found was .99. Yay for happy surprises!
Unlike most of Smith's case lot items, with the Hunts Pasta sauce you could buy them individually and still get the .75 sale price. The cashier told me it was just a lovely coincidence. I was thrilled!
I needed Sour Cream and it was on for .98. Not the best price I've ever found, but better than everywhere else.
I got the very last pack of cheese slices @ .88. I was relieved to find one way at the back behind a row of different cheese.
I got a case of Chicken Broth. What a great deal at just .50 per can!
I've been out of lean ground beef for ages and was happy to find that they had it on sale. I got a small package to stay on budget. When a better deal comes along, I am going to stock up!!
After the gym today, the kids and I headed to Fresh Market and Macey's. At Fresh Mkt I took advantage of the specialty beans at just .50 per can. At these two stores, you can get individual case lot items without having to buy a whole case for the sale price.
I also got a bag of Dole Spinach and a bag of Dole Greener Selection salad at just $1 each. What a great deal!!!
Finally, I got 5 cans of tomato sauce @ 5/$1.
At Macey's, I got a case of Macaroni and Cheese for just .29 per box. My patience paid off!!
The apples were .89/lb and the oranges were .69/lb. Not a great deal on the oranges, but we needed fruit.
The store brand Cream of Chicken soup was .99 per can. I only buy the reduced fat variety and this was a decent price for it. I would've liked to have gotten several more. Darn this budget!!!
Finally, the eggs were $1.59/doz. A fair but not amazing price.
I am excited to be on a budget for the purpose of paying off our debts and getting our nest egg built up. It is going to be a bit tough to stick to though. Especially when such great deals come up! I am determined though! Stay tuned to see how far I can stretch $75 grocery dollars each week!
There will be a separate, slightly smaller budget for household items. The number had yet to be determined.
Oh, ps. We had a Talent Show at the church last night. I did a display of my Extreme Couponing.

I love sharing this and helping other people to get great deals!
