Saver's Memorial Day Sale!

The fam and I hit Saver's when it opened yesterday morning at 9am. There was a long line of people waiting outside the door, but they moved in quickly. We had a plan of attack laid out, knowing exactly what we wanted. We did well and were able to take advantage of the 50% off Apparel sale.
We got so many name brand items, whole summer wardrobes for the kids and lots of goodies for James and I. Everything was in great shape. We paid maybe a tenth of retail. This is the way to keep your family looking nice while not breaking the bank! You just have to be willing to hunt!
Remember that every Monday is .99 day + half offs as well. Always get there right when it opens to get best selection. And have a game plan so you don't waste time or money.

Double Coupon Day! And the Wonder store!

My wonderful neighbor tended the older two kids so that I only had the baby with me when I hit the Springville Walmart this afternoon. Yay for the Springville store! I highly recommend you look for her!

Product Review: Post partum belly band

I bought a supportive belly band to use after I delivered Mariah. It cost $25 online. There were several to choose from. I went with one that went higher on the body than the others. I haven't taken measurements which I wish I would have, but I tried on my pre-pregnancy jeans yesterday and they fit! I still have just over 20 lbs to lose, but somehow the jeans are comfortable. I give the credit to the belly band. I didn't use one with my first two deliveries and recovery was much slower. I wore the band all day for the first two weeks and now I wear it for at least 4 or 5 hours each day. It really seems to have helped my uterus to contract more quickly and efficiently and my ab muscles are feeling good and strong. I also worked out a lot before and during pregnancy, which I'm sure helped, but I don't think it would be nearly as good without the band.
I am three weeks out and am super happy with the results. I highly recommend using a belly band to anyone getting ready to have a baby!

Buy Low and Rite Aid

I did a quick bit of shopping yesterday, leaving James in the car with the kids while I ran in. So much easier on my own!

Rite Aid was first. Did you know that they changed their rewards program?! I haven't been in there in forever! Apparently it changed in February. Here's the gist: the rewards that you earn go onto your wellness card and are available at 6am the next morning. The good thing is that you no longer have to do multiple transactions. The bad news: you have to make two trips. We'll see how it goes.. I'm giving it a chance.

Finish B1G1 @ $6.79 ea
-.75/1 any Finish product
+$2 Up rewards wyb $6=
$1.64 ea
I'll head back in there to spend my rewards next week. There is a 2 week time frame in which to use your rewards.

Then it was off to Buy Low.

 Land o frost 9 oz $1.99
2 lb Cheese $4.97
-$1/1 2 lb cheese= $3.79
 Red delicious apples .50/lb
Nectarines .99/lb
Cauliflower .50/lb
 Celery 2/$1
Loose carrots 3 lb/$1
Pears 2 lb/$1
Broccoli .79/lb
What would I do without Buy Low???

yesterday at Walmart

The fam and I hit the Payson Walmart yesterday evening to do some double coupons. Word to the wise: don't bother with Payson after like noon on a Tuesday. It is too crowded and difficult to maneuver, especially at the front end of the store. Also, they stock a lot less than Springville and Orem. I missed out on several items that I came for that I never have a problem finding in Springville. Luckily the coupons I didn't get to use won't expire before next Tuesday.
I did the best I could to make the trip worthwhile and ended up saving $64. Here's what I got:
Milk $1.97 ad matched w/Buy Low's last week price
Resolve $2.48
-.50/1 Resolve (doubled to -$1= $1.48)
