Be willing to stand

How many times have you been in line at the store, holding maybe a bag of chips for a BBQ or maybe a box of tampons for an unexpected surprise, and the lady at the register wants to do three different transactions, complete with coupons, which don't all work right, so the manager has to come and get involved and you have to just stand there waiting???
Well guess what??? I'm that lady!!! :) Kids, you have to be willing to stand if you want to succeed in the couponing/money saving world! Your coupon might not scan, the register might say you don't have the right item, even you and the cashier know that you do.  Often times, we get impatient and so when these things happen, we just shrug it off and say "Oh, nevermind. It's just a dollar. Let's just skip that coupon and not worry about it.' How many times have you done that because you were in a hurry or you were just too darn impatient?! Believe me, I am widely known as one of the least patient people on the planet! And even I can stand there and be that complicated, annoying customer when a dollar is at stake. Those dollars add up! Plus I put the time and effort into gathering the coupons, clipping them, organizing them, finding the sales and then heading to the store, often with my kids in tow! I HAVE EARNED MY DOLLAR!!!
So, next time a coupon doesn't scan right away and your 15 year old cashier shrugs, shifts from one foot to the other saying, 'Wierd.. yeah, I don't know what's wrong with it... It like, just doesn't want to work...,' That's when you kindly but firmly say something along the lines of, 'I'm sure your manager can help us figure it out.' The people behind you will roll their eyes, clear their throats noisily, maybe even make a stupid comment. OH FREAKING WELL!!!
You wouldn't tell your boss that you're gonna skip your paycheck today because the line behind you was long and you didn't want to inconvenience anyone else, would you??? Those dollars and sense are your's to claim, so be strong, be brave, and stand your ground!
And just for fun, try to guess how much I spent at Walgreen's today on the order in the picture. I did 3 seperate transactions. The total Retail Value was approximately $72.61 before tax. Happy guessing!
