So let's talk real quick about what we should buy during this Case Lot sale. How do you decide where to put your money? For starters, I would recommend that during the case lot season, you cut spending in other areas so that you can put as much of your funds toward stocking up as possible. Some of these prices only come every six months, so we really want to take advantage of them!
Next, let's look through our pantry shelves and see which things that we bought during the last case lot are still well stocked. Odds are, that item isn't one you'll want to repeat. If you're not eating it, don't stock it!! No matter how good the price!
On the other hand, which items are you out of or close to? How many cases did you get last time? Was it enough to see you through with a few left over or did you go through them quickly? Learn from that and you can better gauge the appropriate amount for your family and shop smarter this time around.
It's simple enough right?! In my pantry, I see that we went through ramen noodles, canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, kidney beans, and mac n' cheese much faster than I had predicted. We didn't however use tomato sauce, tomato paste, broth, or chili con carne nearly as much as I had thought we would. I know better where to put my money this time and am excited to report on it in the next few days!
Happy Shopping!
