More Great Savings! Shopko Clearance!!

Friends!! What an exciting evening I have had! For two hours, the kids and I scoured every inch of the toy, clothing, and clearance holiday sections at the Spanish Fork Shopko, plus the Christmas section! And here's the coolest part: they were so well behaved!!! I still can't believe how great they were! It probably helped that a lot of our focus was on what neat things they wanted to add to their Christmas lists... :)
There are tons of great clearance and sale priced toys. Tons!! And not just silly crap. It's all the stuff that kids are wanting right now. My girly girl was quite enthusiastic. :)
In the women's clearance clothing, I scored big time on lots of cute, trendy clothing. Part of my continuing "I care about me" campaign. Mommy deserves to have cute clothes that fit! ;)
The fall/Halloween clearance is spread out in a couple different parts of the store. I found so many cute little gems at ridiculous, better than the dollar store prices!! Check it out!!!
Not only that, I had earned my $10 pharmacy coupon and put it toward all the goodies I found! I was going to save it to put toward Christmas presents but decided that this time, Mommy's stuff was more of a necessity! :)
Such a good evening! I always love my kids, but sometimes, like now, I really like them too! ;)

A bit of shopping

I've hit Payson twice, Thursday and also this morning. As you may know, Smith's (Kroger) has another mega event going on! So many great stock up deals!
These first two photos were from trip #1. I bought them together to use the mega 10 deal. The first picture however, was for another family that wanted to see what I could do with $10.00. Sadly, they were out of the FREE Playtex tampons that day, so I didn't get quite as much for them as I'd hoped, but am still happy with what I got.

I took advantage of the Triaminic $3 coupon at Walmart. If you haven't used yours yet, get to it! This is an awesome savings!
Oh, and I totally splurged and got me some pens, the kind I really like and the only ones that are comfortable in these silly arthritic hands of mine. I've decided recently that I am worth these little pleasures. :)

Patriotism... Recycled

A strange title, I know. The kids and I enjoyed our family time together this evening while Daddy was at basketball. For our activity, we made cards and decorations for Veterans' Day next week. We have a lot of military in our family that have served and so we made cute cards for them and also for neighbors and friends.
We had such a lovely time! A very cool aspect to it; Everything we used was from recycling bins or school dumpsters! Paper, scissors, glue, markers, and stickers! I am so grateful for our soldiers and those who support them. I am grateful that I live in a country where I am free to climb into the garbage and pull out beautiful creativity!

Week Long Fiscal Fast

Hey kids! Sorry I have been MIA for so long! My mom was in the hospital and then I broke my foot and then I had surgery for something else this last Tuesday. Things have been crazy! I've done a little bit of necessity shopping and some scavenging here and there but I am seriously jonesing for a financial fix! I will be doing some serious shopping this Wednesday, so stay tuned!!!
So the hubs and I collected coupon inserts today to sell. Totally scored big! It is so nice when he is home to help, especially since I'm still pretty sore; it's nice to have him jump in the bins and give me a little break. :)
I'm sitting here sorting and counting the inserts and watching a new to me show on Netflix: Extreme Cheapskates. It is so right up my alley! Some of it is a little much for me. I just can't do cloth toilet paper!!! Even I have my limits!! I am super excited however, about this WEEK LONG FISCAL FAST idea!
The gist is this: 4-7 times each year, spend NO MONEY for an ENTIRE WEEK!!! Absolutely NONE!! I am crazy excited to try this!! Especially where we have the indulgent holidays coming quickly, this is an ideal time to save a bit in preparation for Christmas spending! And then, do another fast right after New Years! What a lovely, cleansing idea! I am going to sit down with the family tonight and figure out which week this month will be our first fast. Stay tuned for details!!!

Oh how we shopped!

My husband and I have begun our workouts together again! This morning, when it was still dark, we did the first video! We had gotten pretty far into them when the baby got sick earlier this year and other things happened and exercise fell by the wayside. Taking care of ourselves in general, myself especially, tending to close relationships, important things like that, went to the back burner. But today is a new day and the world keeps on turning!
No time to waste, friends! Gotta seize the moments before they're gone! In life, in love, and in SHOPPING! :)

The youngest two and I went into Provo this morning. I was energized from the early morning workout and ready to take on the case lots!
First we hit my favorite recycling bin to gather coupon inserts. Then we were off to Rancho Market! I didn't get much but what I did get was totally worth the stop!
ALL Shur Saving Milk  $1.99

Bananas 3 lb/.99

And then we hit the Macey's in Spanish Fork. Can I just say what a lovely time we had?? I hadn't been into Macey's in a long time, as I have spent most of my shopping time in Smith's lately. It was nice being there, kind of like coming home...
I was treated so well and greeted by old friends. Plus they have AWESOME deals this week!!! You've got to get in there!!!

Here are some of the best:

Cream of Chicken Soup .49 ea
-.60/6 WF canned soup ( a friendly stockman gave me the coupon)

Chili .69

Chicken or Beef Broth .39 each!!!

Shur Savings Green Beans or Corn .39 each

I wasn't sure I'd be able to fit it in my freezer but it was just such a darn great deal so I brought it home and made it fit! The kids are so excited! :)

Valu Time Mac n' Cheese 4/$1.00!!!

So glad I got it done! I might do a bit at Smith's and Walmart tomorrow, or I may just rest. We'll see! :)

A Tuesday Tale!

Hello friends! The youngin's and I ran down to Payson this morning. I didn't feel like doing it but I am of course glad I got it done! First we hit Walmart:

-.50/1 any Heinz (doubled) = .88

The we headed to Smith's, my most favorite store!

I bought the 3 Kellogg's cereals first, using my $1.50/1 coupons that I earned on the Kellogg's website.
The cereals were $2.50 each before coupons.
So I basically paid $3 for them and then I earned a $3 Catalina coupon, which made it like just paying tax for the cereal!! $.23!!!

Then I bought the rest and used the $3 catalina.

Don't you just love great deals?? But also, don't you just hate when you mess up???

I thought I had gotten the right Orville Ready to Eat popcorn. An ecoupon even came up but I didn't look at it closely enough. It wasn't the right one. :( I will be taking it back with me on my next trip of course! $2.50 matters to me! :)
